The Casio Snooze Daily Alarm Travel Clock works really well, but as other reviewers have mentioned, the designers decided to discourage us from changing any settings on it. As long as you wake up at the same time every day, it is pretty much a perfect alarm clock. After all, no matter what you buy, you quickly become accustomed to locating the switch to shut it off, and that is all you need.
But, if you are in bed drifting off to sleep, and thinking you might want to wake up an hour later instead, don't even try to change the settings. Turn on the light, squint, and enjoy the struggle of trying to adjust it. Although I have excellent vision, I find it difficult to read the tiny white print unless the light is just right.
Still, I don't regret purchasing this. Even with its considerable drawbacks, this is definitely the best alarm clock I have owned in the last ten years or so. For various reasons I have been very unsatisfied with everything else. This one seems dependable, it is just the right size, it was VERY inexpensive, and I imagine I will still be using it many years from now.

Display is excellent. Light weight and small size are very good. Everything else is horrible. Buttons are too small to use. Writing is awful. It is very small, blue on black background. One needs a magnifying glass to see in a well lit environment. Stay away from it.

I got this because it looked like just what I would need on my upcoming trip. However, when I got it, the lettering for the settings are all VERY SMALL and in gray lettering, so it is really hard to see the settings.
I have ordered another travel alarm clock because I am unable to use this one.

I bought for the reliability reviews and the name casio. Like all travel alarm clocks I've used they will start doing weird things and then you are late for your appointment. This one was weird out of the box. I tried setting the time -- the hour button worked fine but the minute button only worked randomly from pushing it several times. However if I turned on the alarm(top most slider button) I was able to use the minute button easily -- what? The worst thing was the snooze never worked. The alarm has three settings "Snz, On, Off" which the manual treats as ON SNZ / OFF. Snz doesnt do anything different. Anyway I used both alarm settings and after hitting the snooze button, the alarm will not go off again after the 8 minutes it advertises, and of course you will oversleep. I tried testing both alarm 'modes' and still no snooze, but I found that the minute button for setting the time works perfectly after I played with the alarm selector a lot. Anyway, this is probably not an indictment of Casio, but of all travel alarm clocks. I think I'll have to buy a small plug in unit and lug it around.

Easy to use. Nice & simple designed alarm clock. Great clock for a snoozer... and how can you resist the name "illuminator?"
