So Far, So Good

I bought the Travel Bags and so far have been pleased. I was able to reduce my luggage space by about 35% - 40% depending on the content. I have a little travel pillow that is quite puffy. With the Space Bag, I was able to fit it, and a little blanket, in the side pocket of my carry on bag. As other reviewers have mentioned, it's easier to lean or sit gently on the bags to deflate them. Not to say rolling couldn't work, it's just my hands don't have the strength to roll thicker items.

They work great for separating clean clothes from dirty in your suitcase. I recommend bringing a couple of empty ones so you don't have to re-pack to store your worn items.

I only gave it 4 stars because I think the zipper part of the bag is a potential problem. I noticed when you slide the closer, it pulls and tears at the plastic around the zipper. I am afraid after opening and closing several times they will start to leak. It has NOT happened yet, so I am not saying they have failed, it just LOOKS like it won't stand up to a lot of opening and closing.

A little flimsy...

The second bag I used ripped on the first time I sealed it. I called the company directly to ask for a replacement bag and they told me contact Amazon directly... Since I already used the other three bags in the box, not sure what Amazon will do.

The space bag works as stated. I packed clothes for a 1.5 week trip to Korea, and this really helped out. Not only does it reduce the volume the clothes use in the luggage, it also keeps the clothes clean and compartmentalized. The space bag does take some effort to use since you have to roll the air out. As I rolled the clothes, the clothes typically shifted towards the end of the bag where the trapped air is expelled. This seemed to block the vent and prevented further air from being pushed out of the bag. However, I just had to jostle the bag to shift the clothes towards the other end of the bag and then continue rolling, and more air got out. Its not difficult, and much better than lugging a vacuum around. Overall very pleased.

Great, but overpriced

These giant zip-locks were excellent for traveling, but we found the exact same thing as a knock-off at the 99c store. 2 for 99c!!! You should check your local dollar store because they were just as good.

Great Product

I have used this product since '06 on my 3 week backpacking trips in China each year as well on a couple of US business trips. Great to conserve space. Wouldn't pack for any trip without them.
