Purchased one of these several years ago in black. First time I used the backlight it broke. Clock continued to work until I lost it. Because there are not a whole lot of choices this portable I bought another one, and the alarm buzzer doesen't work. Alarm symbol flashes and the light flashes on briefly at alarm time, but it makes no noise. Seems to be poorly built, and I would recommend purchasing something else more reliable.

This is our 2nd time purchasing this alarm clock after the 1st one was cracked. My husband says this is his "dream" alarm clock. It has every feature he wants. He uses it daily, but it is also great for travel as it is very light-weight and compact.

Perfect for travel -- I love the many features. Different than other alarms, the light does not turn on in transit since it folds to protect the light button. Temperature and metric features are added bonuses. Very light weight and ultra portable. I won't travel without it. Although the battery seems to last a long time, make sure to take an extra battery if you are going overseas since it is an unusual sized battery.

I bought one of these at Walmart about 7 years ago. Still works great except the backlight failed a few years ago. Thought it might be the battery but after reading the Amazon reviews figure it's just the light. Not being able to push the Snooze/Light button and have the backlight come on in the dark is a pain but the snooze button works fine. But for twelve bucks when the backlight doesn't work . . . just buy another! Like I just did!!

I am a buyer for a hospital unit - i have purchased over 100 of these because you cannot replace the batteries. when the battery is done, the clock is history. the battery lasts about 6 months. we have tried everything. we really love the clocks - they fit nicely in the pockets of the nursing staff and we need to time something we are all doing.
